Vanessa Redgrave was born in January 30, 1937 And is the daughter of actors Sir Michael and sisters Lynn and Corin, this London-born stage and screen star pursued her training at London's Central School of Music and Drama. She made her stage debut at 20 and her screen debut the following year, playing the onscreen daughter to her real-life father in Behind the Mask.
Redgrave was nominated for an Oscar® four times before finally taking home a statue for Best Support Actress for her role in Julia. She says, "I can only tell you that I'm perfectly happy to be where I am, aged as I am. I don't wish to be young again. [But] I do feel lucky, really lucky." Redgrave was briefly married to director Tony Richardson from 1962 to 1967. They have two children together. Among her extensive productions and appearances we can name these resent movies: "Short Order", "The Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam", "The White Countess", "Thief Lord", and "Running with Scissors". Vanessa is the Persian Golden Lioness "Lifetime Achievement" award winner of 2006.
