Niloofar Beyzaie

Niloofar Beyzaie was born in 1967 in Tehran and finished her Primary and Secondary schools there. She practiced Ballet and Piano for seven years but in 1985 she had to leave Persia to Germany and entered the Goethe University in Frankfurt where she studied German Literature, Theater and Cinema.

During her studies she wrote and directed Theater Plays and conducted research on this area. Niloofar is mostly addressing social and political issues related to women and is a popular commentator and translator in areas of Theater and Plays.

In 1994 she received her Master's degree and formed 'DARICHEH THEATER GROUP' and since then she is leading this group as Director, Play writer, and designer.

There were 8 plays from Niloofar that went on stage for over 150 times in many European countries. In addition there are 5 other plays written by her, which have been translated and published in several languages.

Among her successful creations in Europe we can name: 'MARJAN, MUNEY & CHAND MOSHGEL-E- KOOCHAK' in 1996-1997 which went on stage for 25 times; 'BAZI-E- AKHAR' in 1998-1999 went on stage for 26 times; 'SARZAMIN-E- HEACH KAS' in 1998-1999 went on stage for 36 times; 'BANU DAR SHAHRE AYNE' (Written by her in1995-96); 'CHAGHOO DAR POSHT' (Directed by her in 1999-2000); 'ROYAHAYE ABIYE ZANANE KHAKESTARI' " (Written & Directed by her in 2000-2001); 'SE NAZAR DARBAREYE YEK MARG' (Directed by her in 2001-2002); 'BOOF KOOR' 2004-2005 went on stage in Germany for 12 times. This play will be performed in Paris and London till October 2005 and plan for its tour of Canada and America is in progress.

Another play of Niloofar in title of 'NA BEHESHT, NA JAHANAM' is currntly being practiced by a Swiss Group - Theater Maralam, which will go on stage in Zurich with effect from September 2005.

Niloofar has published more that 20 articles on Theater and over 80 articles on social and political issues related to Persia.
