Neysham Khazenie has played piano since age six and danced classical ballet since age seven. She studied and has performed Persian classical dance since age ten. She is now a sixteen-year-old student at the Levine School of Music and Washington Ballet.
Neysham has been in High Honors program and on the Levine's President's List.
Neysham plays a number of Persian classical instruments including the Tar and Daf. She is very active in classical western ballet as well as Persian classical dance, She has performed at The Kennedy center, George Washington Masonic Temple, Wolf Trap, Marvin Center at GWU, Miller Theater in NY, City Hall of San Francisco, and Ernst Cultural Center. She has studied ballet at Washington Ballet and Persian Classical and Sufi with Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam, Bahareh Sardari, and Banafsheh Sayad She has received first place in more than 20 regional, national, and international Piano competitions. She has performed at venues such as at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In 2005, she performed at The Kennedy Center. She has also performed at Water Gate, and Smithsonian Institute, Alden Theater as well as several embassies. Neysham lives in Vienna,Virginia.
