Eva Marton is internationally celebrated as one of opera's greatest singers on stage today.

Soprano Eva Marton of Hungary enjoys a seemingly endless list of top engagements in practically every major opera house in the world.

She is well known and much admired for her unique ability to encompass the widest possible repertoire with her rich and powerful voice. She is equally at home in the dramatic Italian repertoire of Verdi and Puccini as with the German roles of Wagner and Strauss. Eva was born in Budapest on June 18, 1943. She went to the Franz Liszt Music University from 1962 to 1968 and graduated not only as opera singer but also as singing pedagogue. the Milan Scala, the New York Met, the Vienna State Opera, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Covent Garden in London, and in Paris to name a few. She was awarded by the President of the Hungarian Republic Ferenc Mádl with the „Order of the Hungarian Republic”, one of the most prestigious prizes, on August 20, 2003. With over 40 years active performance on opera stages around the world, Eva recorded over 30 remarkable albums in her career. In addition to her singing career, she is teaching and heading the department of Singing at Liszt Ferenc Music Academy.
