Professor Sandor Falvai has been a chairman of the Keyboard Faculty at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music since 1990. Between 1997- 2004 he was the Rector of the Academy.
He studied Piano at the Liszt Ferenc Academy from 1967-1972 and studies with Prof. Mihaly Bacher.
Sandor continued his studies in Moscow at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1972-73 and in 1973 he won the second prize at the Piano competition of the Hungarian Radio.
In the very same year he became solo Pianist of the National Philharmonia as well and were appointed as the head of Piano’s Faculty of the Liszt Academy.
Sandor has given concerts widely in Europe and America and has made several solo recordings. In 1975 he was honored with the Ferenc Liszt Prize, and in 1997 with the title Merited Artist.
